He was very involved in school calypso competitions and
has never looked back since. His song "Emancipation" in 1984
received regional acclaim, as it was chosen as the theme song in commemoration
of 150 years of Emancipation.
Bingo was lead vocalist with the now defunct
"Caribbean Rockers" Band for a 10-year period. He also performed
with the Sugar Cane Band for a short period as their lead vocalist.
Bingo continues to perform at the various hotels and does
selected gigs with the Band Boo Hinkson and Friends. However, his main
stage presence remains on the Ambassadors' Calypso Tent and St. Lucia Calypso
Association's stages. He has served in several capacities on the S.L.C.A.,
but is presently a member of the Board of Directors. He holds a similar
portfolio with the Hewanorra Music Society (HMS) and is the current Chairman of
the Ambassadors' Calypso Tent.
